CT ANGIOGRAPHY CAROTIDS WITH CONTRAST

CT Angiography Carotids With Contrast is a CT (computed tomography) scan of the carotids with contrast that produces detailed cross-sectional images to help detect fractures, tumours, infections, bleeds, and other structural abnormalities. A contrast dye is administered intravenously to enhance visualisation of blood vessels and soft tissue; a recent kidney function (creatinine) report is required prior to the scan. The scan takes only a few minutes and is reported by our radiologists.
